I just got home from an event sponsored by my daughter's school: The Father-Daughter Dance. This was a night that I truly enjoyed!
Before the dance, which was a buffet dinner and dance complete with raffles, I was a little apprehensive. I was concerned that Rowan wouldn't have the stamina for something aimed towards kids graduating from the sixth grade. I needn't have worried. She voluntarily took naps prior to our leaving and was filled with energy the whole night! She was a little shy at first but warmed up to things as time went on. I think she just loved dancing with me ( I know I loved dancing with her) and the only complaint I'd offer was that the dances targetted at the daddies were ones like "Butterfly Kisses" which always make me weep. Afterwards we stopped at Friendly's and had icecream with one of her classmates, Kensey and Dad. Can't wait til next year... This time I'll remember the corsage!
